Personal Requirements
Carpenters must have good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.   They must be able to solve math/arithmetic problems quickly and understand basic math, reading of blueprints, and rules and building codes.  A carpenter must also be physically fit in order to move around in the construction site and perform the tasks assigned.  To enter an apprenticeship program, the usual minimum age is 18 and in many cases must pass an aptitude test.  You use your math skills in this trade
You have the stamina to be on your feet for long periods of time.  You need to be in good physical condition to carry materials
